July 8th
What a busy day it has been here at Mild to Wild! Between answering questions about the various classes of rapids on the Upper Animas, the water level on the San Miguel, and checking availability for over 30 guests on the train, there is finally a quiet second to blog about life here in Durango!
Yesterday, the office girls had a chance to go out and hit the Lower Animas in inflatable kayaks! I was surprised when the girls came back and NO ONE TOOK A SWIM (I was shocked . . . but we do have an all-star office staff). Also, we owe a big thank you to our amazing guides, who are great teachers!
As the weekend nears everyone is planning their on and off the water activities! On Thursday, Trimble Hot Springs is having their great music on the lawn night, and for only $8 per person after 5:00 PM! A relazing night at Trimble would be even more relaxing after an exciting day on the Upper Animas or a nice trip down the Lower Animas!
Enjoy the photos of our great staff heading down the river!!!
Cheers!

July 7th

Well, Durango is finally reaching the high 80's! With today's weather reaching 89* its a great day to get out on the water, and experience a true Colorado vacation!
Our Jeep/Train package has already gone out for the day, where guests will get to see stunning wildflowers, Animas Forks (an old ghost town), and experience the historic Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad! With Silverton hovering around 68* degrees today, guests from Texas, California, and Arizona are sure to enjoy our mountain weather. . . thank goodness for Colorado weather!
Two guests headed up to La Plata Canyon where we spotted a marmot and her babies just the other day (check out the photos!). With the wildflowers at their peak blooming power, it is advised that everyone brings a digital camera with LOTS of memory!
Today the guides are busy packing for our multitude of trips around the Four Corners area!
Tomorrow, July 8th, we are sending guides to scenic Moab, Utah for a relaxing 2-Day trip on the Colorado River! For our more adventurous guests we are sending our boats over to Placerville, Colorado on the San Miguel River! With continuous class II and intermittent class III rapids, guests are sure to enjoy their adventure!
The phones are getting busy! I better go assist!!
